Join us!Wealthfront Career-Launching Company Figure Series D AnnouncementAbout the RoleFigure Lending is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join Figure Lending's Legal and Compliance department and provide leadership support in building and implementing a top-class, highly effective compliance program. The Chief Compliance Officer of Figure Lending will lead the Lending compliance team and oversee the related compliance and regulatory functions. The Chief Compliance Officer of Figure Lending will assume primary responsibility for assuring compliance with federal and state rulesregulations as well as effectively manage and mitigate risk, establish proper controls, and protect Figure Lending from legal and regulatory risk.What You'll DoManage and oversee the compliance functions for Figure Lending compliance program.Lead a team of qualified compliance professionals (8 employees).Serve as the Compliance resource for the building of new products and maintenance of existing lending including conducting regulatory research as necessary, drafting disclaimers and disclosures, conducting testing, and reviewing application flows and product processes.Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory examinations and inquiries, external audits, and third-party diligence requests, including for CFPB, SEC, FINRA, and state regulatory bodies.Partner with the Legal team on all components of product counseling.Drive corrective action processes across all products, including collaborating across business units to resolve and document issues and implement appropriate corrective action plans in response to regulatory, testing, or audit findings.Develop compliance risk assessments to address legal and regulatory risks for associated compliance programs.Maintain the company's Compliance Management System, including oversight of the following areas: policies and procedures; training; monitoring and testing; complaints; regulatory change management; vendor management; reporting; and Fair Lending.Review and approve marketing materials and other public communications.What We Look For10+ years of relevant experience at a bank, credit union, nonbank lender, andor regulatory agency 5+ years of senior broker-dealer compliance experience in a compliance department of a registered broker-dealer Experience at a public company, specifically in the Fintech sector, is preferredPreference for a licensed attorney, with at least one state bar Thorough knowledge of state lending, TILARegulation Z, ECOARegulation B, FCRA, FACTA, BSAAML, UDAAP, and GLBA, BSAAML, Regulation E, crypto lending, crypto exchange, Securities Act of 1933 (including Reg D), Investment Advisers Act of 1940, and other SECFINRA rules and regulations Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), from novice to expert audiences and explanatory to advocacy circumstances Experience leading and managing legal or compliance employeesExceptional judgment and integrityAbility to work cross-functionally with easeStrong work ethic and high attention to detailStrong operational abilities with an eye for optimizing and improving proceduresSalaryCompensation Range: $195,000-$265,000Quarterly 25% bonus targetEquity stock options packageThis is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needsBenefitsComprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance with 100% employer-paid premiums for employees and their dependents on select plansCompany HSA, FSA, Dependent Care, 401k, and commuter benefitsEmployer-funded life and disability insurance coverage11 Observed Holidays & PTO planUp to 12 weeks paid family leaveContinuing education reimbursementDepending on your residential location certain laws might regulate the way Figure manages applicant data.
