Successful pet insurance sales agents benefit from being knowledgeable about the insurance industry and having a genuine love for helping animals get the care they need. Veterinary Technician experience is a plus but not required. Pet Insurance Sales Agents will talk to and educate potential clients with creditability and knowledge of how a pet insurance policy works to them and their pet's benefit. This inside sales position is a great transition for those who know insurance but want to make a difference in helping people keep their furry family members healthy and happy.An ideal candidate comes from an environment where they sold multiple P&C insurance lines over the phone either through call centers or inside local brick and mortar agencies.Prudent Pet sells nationwide and will pay for your property and casualty licensing once hired. Inside sales, business development andor insurance sales experience is a plus.Prudent Pet Insurance is a customer centric organization. This means we strive for a positive customer experience at every stage of the customer journey. P&C Insurance candidates who are successful in this role are upbeat, energetic and able to handle inbound and outbound phone calls, crafting policies that work for our customers' budget, manage follow-up tasks and ask for the sale. This role requires a sales and customer service type demeanor when talking with clients.The role we are looking to fill works Monday through Friday and 1 Saturday per month. This inside sales opportunity is an entirely remote position and the schedule rotates between 3 shifts of 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm, and 10am to 6pm Central Time.Core Responsibilities•Sell policies - Inside Sales•Handle 100+ sales calls daily - 70% outbound work30% inbound work•Overcome buying objections and ask for the sale from prospective customers•Participate in live chat function with customers•Manage and organize daily follow-up tasks with customers•Obtain customer feedback and communicate with management to drive changes to the website and our program•Upsell products like preventive care endorsements•Diligent with accurate quotingbinding for underwriting purposes•Ask for customer referrals and reviewsPrincipal Working Relationships•Reports directly to AVP of Operations•Downers Grove Office Customer Service Support Team and Claims Team•Other key home office employees including senior leadershipQualifications:Licensure•A resident P&C license is preferred but not required. We will pay for and coordinate licensing nationwide upon hire.Experience & Skills•At least 1 year of P&C insurance sales experience•Vet Tech experience is a plus•Excellent communication with customers and the ability to build relationships instantly•Ability to educate customers on what pet insurance is, demonstrate its value, be empathetic and smart in helping them craft a policy that works for both their budget and their pet•Self-motivated, energetic, friendly and positive person with a can-do attitude•Well organized, superior time management skills•One who likes fun competition among a friendly sales team - sales incentives are offered in both group and individual goals•Bilingual is a plusCore CompetenciesBased upon the responsibilities outlined, candidates should possess the following core competencies:•Achievement Orientation-the capacity to be energized and excited by challenging goals and a concern for surpassing a standard of excellence.
