The DetailsLocation: West Hollywood, CAPosition: ParkingEnforcement Officer Payrate: $22.61 per hour. Hours Available: Full Time - 5 Days per week - MUST WORK WEEKENDS 7AM-4PM or 4PM-12AMOvernight shift available for FT and PTMUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK REQUIRED SHIFTMUST HAVE VALID STATE OF CALIFORNIA DRIVER LICENSE FOR 2+ YEARSTheSpirit of the Position:The Parking Enforcement Agent provides operational support throughupholding and enforcing the local parking ordinances while assisting customerswith parking needs. The Parking Enforcement Agent will accurately key vehiclelicense plates utilizing a Handheld Ticket Issuance System to issue parkingcitations.Responsibilities:- Monitor on-street parking for vehicles in violation of parkingordinances by following an assigned route. - Issue CityMunicipality approved parking citations for vehiclesin violation of ordinances in accordance with policies and procedures. - Upload handheld computer to obtain current information requiredfor work daily. - Screen for parking placards and permits for special privilegeswithin approved areas. - Resolve customer complaints in accordance with policies andprocedures.- Maintain and care for all company issued equipment. - Assist with any special assignments and projects asrequested. - Other related duties as assigned.Requirements:- Valid Driver's License (Minimum of 2 years)- Enforcement experience- 6 months minimum -must be able to work exposed to the elementsweather- General knowledge of streets and directions is required-must be able to work the required shift (weekends)includedSkills:- Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges(Never Ever Give Up Attitude). - Ability to work independently and multi-task.- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard businesspractices.- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.- Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points ofview.- Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally chargedsituations.- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.- Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm ondecisions made (not easily persuaded).PhysicalDemands:- Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain,etc. - Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds. - Ability to stand,walk and ride an E-Bike for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift) - nositting is allowed. - Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughouta shift.The physical demands described here are representative of thosethat must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functionsof this job.
