Overview of Concept: Over the past year, Garrett Harker and ES Hospitality have been busy opening several exciting hospitality venues just steps from Kenmore Square and Fenway Park. Among these, is the return of Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drinks and the craft cocktail bar, Equal Measure. Best known for Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar and The Hawthorne, Garrett is once again bringing enlightened hospitality and high energy operations to the Fenway neighborhood. Garrett is joined by Beverage Director Jackson Cannon and Culinary Director Brian Rae in the operation of these concepts.Overview of the Position: The Restaurant Manager position is a dynamic, multi-concept role. The position will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day management and operation of not only Eastern Standard, but also Equal Measure and the ES Hospitality private dining program. This is a role for a candidate who is excited to develop and grow in all aspects of restaurant management as you'll work daily across multiple settings: restaurant, cocktail bar, private events. It is a role that will allow the right candidate to continue to learn and grow professionally working alongside talented food and beverage colleagues in a legacy restaurant with a multi-daypart, multi-venue layout.Responsibilities: Assist in the day-to-day management of a team of FOH membersParticipate in restaurant opening and closing shifts as restaurant managerLead by example to guide and empower the FOH staff on the floor, maintaining a hands on presence throughout each serviceFocus on ensuring proper steps of service are being followed across all FOH stations and staff: on the door, tableside and supportFocus on cultivating meaningful relationships with guests through guest interaction with the goal of creating returning diners and regularsAssist with private event executionTake part in special projects as necessaryQualifications: Minimum 2 years experience working in restaurant management preferredAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem solving skillsWho You Are:Hardworking, upbeat, and energetic with the ability to lead by exampleGenuinely excited by foodbeverage and the culinary industry and eager to grow professionallyA team player, ready to pitch in wherever needed to ensure the success of the restaurant as a wholeCompensation and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary (based on experience), healthdentalvision insurance, paid time off plan, dining discounts, 401k opportunity and continuous development and learning opportunities.
