Job DetailsJob LocationBurbank Office - Burbank, CAPosition TypeFull TimeSalary Range$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 SalaryDescriptionHybrid Work ModelJob Summary:Reporting to the Mobile Product Marketing Manager and the Director of Sonic Brand Marketing, the Associate Mobile Brand Manager will play an important role in the continued growth of the Sonic the Hedgehog brand on mobile titles globally. This person will work across various businesses including live-service games, brand marketing, consumer products, film, TV, animated content, consumer products, licensing, events, music, and emerging opportunities to provide Brand support on mobile titles. The Associate Mobile Brand Manager will advocate for marketing synergies between Sonic the Hedgehog, SEGA's classic brands and its mobile portfolio. The role will require experience in mobile gaming, creative strategy and creative development, global 'halo-brand development', consumerbrand marketing, franchise and product management.The role requires an individual knowledgeable in creative production of advertising and core brand assets including but not limited to trailers (visual assets development), visual identity, advertising assets (digital and traditional), social media, and PR involvement. A knowledge of mobile live ops production, success metrics, and an understanding of developer needs and how to support development studios is important for success. This role interfaces closely with teams in Burbank (CA), Orange County (CA), England, Netherlands, Japan and the Nordics. Please note the role will be based in Burbank but will require occasional travel to the Irvine headquarters (once a month and as required) and development studios.Duties and Responsibilities:Drive synergies between the transmedia and mobile roadmaps, advocating for integrations that support brand objectives whilst being cognizant of how they can enhance mobile business plan performance. Coordinate business and asset approvals between mobile developers and Sonic brand team.Manage calendar & handover assets, links & copy for mobile social media posts on Sonic accounts.Maintain up to date knowledge of Sonic brand roadmap and manage how mobile titles fit to avoid cannibalization.Work across developers to optimize cross-game and in-game tie-ups and opportunities.Partner closely with the cross functional and international teams to ensure development, marketing, and sales executions are integrated and aligned with the project's strategic and financial goal.Drive and maintain the development of creative for campaigns, creative strategyasset production, digital content, channel, promotions and first party partnership opportunities.Develop and manage creative assets for campaigns across multiple areas of the Sonic business. Delivers assets to internal partner organizations and external partners when necessary.Support the mobile development team by supplying them with key consumer and marketing insight.Support in various consumer research and business data analysis projects.Understand the mobile gaming landscape and provide the Brand team with insight into opportunities, trends and news within the mobile gaming industry.Identify relevant KPIs and work with mobile developers to create useful dashboards that can lead to actionable information. Keep internal team updated on success and use the data to shape future integration opportunities. Coordinate the agenda for development studios and external marketing teams to the Transmedia Pillar.Performs other duties as assigned.Working in-office is an essential function of this position. To enhance understanding of our stakeholders' work and business needs, facilitate a more seamless and organic workflow, and ultimately increase efficiency and successful outcomes.QualificationsQualifications and Skills:1-3+ years' experience in marketing in a variety of roles including mobile game publisher marketing, creative and media agencies andor consumer products.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the field.Experience in the mobile gaming industry, specifically related to live operations.Experience in global marketing campaigns from the research and positioning stage through go-to-market and post-launch management.Ability to leverage quantitative analytic measures, build business cases to support initiatives and focus on KPI ROI metrics. Experience in project management, analysis, and the ability to work with multiple teams.Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.Must provide evidence of ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, revenue driven and passionate about supporting SEGA as a leader in the online games space.Strong presentation skills including development utilizing programs such as MS PowerPoint, to help ideate and global brand plans. Ability to develop, pitch, and execute a marketing plan, delegating tasks and working with cross functional teams to ensure the vision is executed effectively to meet and exceed goals. Knowledge of mobile game development is a plus.
