To learn more, please visit RoleApollo's Asset-Backed Finance ("ABF") Associate will provide portfolio management support to Senior PMs across Apollo's asset-backed portfolios, including asset selection, portfolio hedging, and portfolio analytics. This role offers the right candidate with the opportunity to delve into portfolio management and gain exposure to a broad range of asset classes across ABF. As Apollo's ABF strategy continues to experience significant growth, this position can evolve into a Senior Portfolio Manager or transition to a specialized asset class.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport the senior PMs on portfolio reviews for Athene and third-party insurance clients.Construct customized ABF portfolios subject to investment guidelines and constraints for third-party products and mandates.Spend time with investment teams to understand larger risk positions in the portfolio, to serve as a conduit to the Product and internal risk teams.Assist Product and Wealth teams in addressing investor questions and any due diligence requests with analysis.Collaborate with Fund Controllers to understand ABF vehicles' current and forward liquidity.Work with the Investment Technology and Quant teams on the contents and design of any investment and portfolio risk reporting.Evaluate and form a view on relative value across ABF and among different sourcing channels.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited institution1-2 years of investment banking experience, ideally within structured credit or fixed incomeStrong analysis and modeling skillsExposure to or knowledge of structured products strongly desiredUnderstanding of bond math and basic qualitative skills related to fixed income a huge plusExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbout ApolloOur Purpose & Core ValuesOur clients rely on our investment acumen to help secure their future.
