Hachette Book Group is seeing a National Account manager responsible for managing Hachette Book Group Adult business with Readerlink, including sales, inventory management, and account relationship management.We are looking for someone who has a customer-centric mindset, is a strong communicator and someone who has a proven track record of building excellent working relationships with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally. The ideal candidate has a proactive and analytical mindset with an eye for detail. Strong presentation skills, commercial acumen and sales analysis skills are also vital to this highly visible sales role. The position is based out of our NY office on a three-day hybrid model, reporting to the Director of Mass Merchandise Sales. Please apply with a cover letter and resume. Specific responsibilities include:Managing inventory levels and order quantities to achieve efficiency goals while maximizing sales growth on frontlist and backlist titles throughout the year Collaborating closely with Inventory Management and Operations on account inventory needs and sales forecastingPreparing and presenting all titles for specialized account groups including sales and order forecasting, promotional and marketing recommendations, and co-op management Communicating with the Sales Leadership, Inventory Management, and Publishing teams regarding account activity, order strategy, and sales forecasts Representing Readerlink at all internal meetings including Launch, Strategy, Sales conference, and sales and marketing meetingsPlease apply if you meet the following requirements: 3-5+ years of sales experience in an account management role, prior Readerlink experience is strongly preferredStrong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail, with a track record of making data-driven decisionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with public speaking a bonusAbility to successfully prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to work well under pressure, and meet strict deadlines Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word This role is NYC based, and the candidate will need to be in the office a minimum of three days a week as part of the hybrid working policy at HBG As a leading book publisher, we believe that including and representing diverse voices in all aspects of our business is fundamental to what we do. The compensation range for this position is $70,000-$90,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location - talk with your recruiter to learn more.
