Clarion Partners operates independently as a Specialist Investment Manager owned by Franklin Templeton (FT), a diversified firm that spans asset management, wealth management, and fintech, giving us many ways to help investors make progress toward their goals.The Investor Operations team provides a superior investor experience across its open end and closed end funds, including institutional and private wealth investors and intermediaries, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements. The Investor Operations Manager will serve as a resource to various internal business groups, investors and third-party service providers to provide centralized and cross-functional support of investor onboarding, account activity, and investor inquiries. This role requires effective communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic group. The ideal candidate will have an eagerness to learn and thrive in an environment where it is important to prioritize and manage a multi-stream workload.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform onboarding for investors in both open end and closed end private equity funds, working with prospective and current institutional and private wealth investors, consultants and distribution agents to ensure accurate completion of subscription documents, collection of proper documentation for transactions and deadlines are metAssist in the management of all third-party fund administrator relationships, focusing on investor services and data integrations, creating and maintaining workflows to support various fund structures and distribution partnershipsCoordinate the process and maintain data files for investor contributions, transfers and redemptionsCoordinate with distribution partners and financial intermediaries on the distribution of private wealth funds, ensuring new investments and transfers are processed in accordance with established requirementsAssist in the design and documentation of processes and controls for the team's core responsibilities and ensure they are updated and reviewed regularlyLiaise with various groups throughout the organization and externally including client capital management, fund accounting, compliance, legal, information technology, investors, fund administrators, custodians, etc., providing a superior level of client serviceProvide support for the data capture and reconciliation of investor-related data for compliance and regulatory reportingRespond to investor inquiries with a superior level of customer serviceParticipate in other group projects and initiatives that have a high level of strategic impact to build out the Investor Operations platformPerform analytics and data analysisMaintain ongoing understanding of and ability to discuss governing documents of the Clarion Partners funds (PPM, LPA, subscription documents, etc.)Qualifications:Bachelor's degreePreferably with 10+ years of experience working in an investor relationsoperations capacity within a private equity organization; experience in non-traded alternatives funds distributed in the private wealth marketplace is a plusOrganized, detail-oriented and extremely thorough while having the confidence and communication skills to ensure work processes are completed accuratelyExperience overseeing teams, in-house andor third-party fund services provider, responsible for onboarding investors, transfers and other investor transactionsUnderstanding of platforms used in private wealth marketplace, such as DTCC and custodian data transmissionsProven ability to assess risk and anticipate downstream impact associated with certain workstreamsProven experience in implementing new operational workflows and associated platforms; strong technical understandingStrong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures in a push toward constant improvementProven investor relations experience, with the ability to interface with various types of investors and develop investor-focused messaging and fund communicationsRequired attributes are effective interpersonal, communication and written skills, strong administrative skills, an independent self-starter, responsible, energetic, dependable, and capable of organizing and prioritizing a highly diverse workloadAbility to work with minimal direction, exercise good judgment and creativity, and work in a fast-paced, team oriented, professional environmentAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of staffA high degree of poise, positive attitude, engagement in the business and team spiritAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookExperience using Salesforce or similar customer relationship management databasesIf based in New York, the base salary range for this position is USD $120,000 - $145,000. Actual base salary offered will be determined by several components including but not limited to the candidate's experience, job-related knowledge, and qualifications. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role. Total compensation may vary based on role, location, and individual performance.
