Join us as the Vice President, US Region Controller reporting into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), US Business Unit (USBU). You will be a key member on the USBU Finance Leadership team and have two direct reports and three in-direct reports. The position also liaisons with the Global Controllership function and is a member of the Chief Accounting Officer's Leadership team. Key Objectives are as follows:Takeda lead for US Region audit (all Takeda Management unitfunctions operating in the US, which account for approximately half of the overall Takeda balance sheet)Key Takeda contact for external auditoraudit partners for the USAccountable to collaboratively produce quarterly US combined balance sheet and P&L analysis package (all Management unitfunctions, including tax) to be reviewed internally and by external auditorsAccountable to improve internal cross-functional processes, analytical reviews and monthlyquarterly close timing for all US stakeholdersAlign agendasobjectives and processes with SOX teamUS legal matters SOX control ownerHow you will contribute:US Commercial Business Unit (USBU)Oversee revenue recognition process (gross-to-net) of ~$13B of USBU product sales over multiple legal entities for a diverse portfolio of products, including management of the Commercial Controllership teamProvide accounting and finance expertise for USBU initiatives and projects.Responsible for managing external audit, as well as compliance with SOX requirements in the USBUInvolved in management reporting roll-up and reviews in coordination with CFO and FP&A leadRevenue Accounting (USBU scope)Oversee revenue recognition process (gross-to-net) of $13B of USBU product sales over multiple legal entities for a diverse portfolio of products, including management of the Commercial Controllership teamEnsure IFRS and statutory financial requirements related to managing analysis, accounting, reconciliation and reporting of net sales and related accruals.Drive efficiency through all revenue recognition processes ensuring consistent, highly controlled, reliable and repeatable solutions, leveraging existing systems wherever possible. Ensure processes are easily managed and can quickly identify issues within the data they control.Serve as USBU SOX championValidationcontrol and upfront approval on all POs above $1MMTechnical Accounting and Related ActivitiesProvide accounting and finance expertise for US related topics.Identify and evaluate improvement opportunities, review those opportunities with relevant stakeholders, and work with the team to implement the improvements.Coordinate with Takeda Business Solutions to ensure that business transactions are properly recorded.Manage both internal and external audit and reporting requirements, including quarterly and annual data submissions and audits, data gathering for and implementation of new accounting standards, and government reporting.Overall responsibility for compliance with SOX requirements in the USBU.Minimum RequirementsQualifications:Required:BABS Degree in Accounting15+ years accountingfinance experience with at least 10 years of managementsupervisory experienceExperience identifying and implementing process improvements affecting other stakeholders (enterprise level, Other MU controller, TBS, technical accounting)Experience working with all levels and disciplines of people within a large organizationAbility to drive to or fly to various meetings - infrequent overnight travel. For Location:Cambridge, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:$252,000.00 - $396,000.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives andor from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
