Job Description:The RoleAs a Vice President in the Asset Management Treasurer's Office, you will work with senior members of Asset Management, specifically collaborating with Fidelity's alternatives center of excellence in evaluating new alternative products and designing, executing, and maintaining oversight programs for significant business processes, including accounting policy, financial reporting, valuation, expenses, distribution and governance. This position will work across the Treasurer's Office and with various Fidelity teams such as the back-office functions, legal, risk, compliance, and investment divisions in considering product structure, unique aspects of operations and financial, regulatory and tax reporting. You will be part of the team that assesses oversight practices and operational readiness of these products, following the products through to launch and continuing through the on-going operations. This role requires strong influencing skills as well as the ability to maintain and improve business partner relationships.The Expertise Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferable.Minimum 13+ years industry or equivalent experience.Experience with various alternative asset classes, with a focus on derivative instruments and liquid alternative strategiesTechnical and business knowledge of various structure types (e.g., hedge funds, mutual funds, masterfeeder, multi-class, open and closed end, etc).Certified public accounting certification (CPA) preferredKnowledge of operational risk management and internal controls, governance and oversight processesUnderstands the key elements of a Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program for an alternative's asset managerExperience evaluating opportunities for improvements in process through technology solutionsThe Skills You BringAdvanced technical skills in mutual fund and private fund accounting including financial reportingAdvanced knowledge of investment types, fund products and mutual fund operationsAbility to manage multiple points of view and influence othersAbility to make and effectively communicate decisionsStrong collaboration skills and an ability to work optimally across organizationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; Solid organizational and interpersonal skillsCertifications:Category:Investment OperationsFidelity's hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences.
