Children and Adolescents who battle substance abuse need a fun alternative to drugs and alcohol. They need a safe place to socialize and belong. The Avita Clubhouse provides this type of environment. Engaging the family in the treatment of their teen is critical to the successful recovery and healthy functioning of the entire family and community.This Behavioral Professional will:Work with Clubhouse members and their families to promote satisfying and sober living.Will work in collaboration with other staff members of the Clubhouse to provide supportive services that meet the needs of youth and families.Will encourage parent involvement in Clubhouse programs including advocacy parent peer support groups, parent education and training.Will attend provide support during social and recreation activities organized for families.Will provide transportation to Clubhouse members.Will maintain cooperative and working relationships with other clubhouse staff members.Will operate as liaison between the clubhouse staff, clients, and parents in the treatment process.Minimum Qualifications:Must have individual or family experience with SA addiction (CPS-P Certification helpful, but not required).Ability to work with socially economically, culturally, and ethically diverse groups in a mutually respectful mannerUnderstanding of Substance Abuse, its effect on the family and the recovery process.Must be willing to participate in State Family Support trainingHigh School Diploma or GEDAbility to accept responsibility and follow through with assignments.Candidates must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.Bilingual (EnglishSpanish) Will have to pass a state mandated translation exam to use this skill.Avita Community Partners is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in its service practices or employment practices with regard to race color, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, age, or national origin. recblid 1dsys7kwa3ebprrlpoys08ktp8xpfm
