Medix's NYC-based client is looking for Prior Authorization Representative! Apply if qualified and interested! One week of ONSITE traning in Manhattan, remote afterwards! Only candidates within the NYC-metropolitan area will be considered Title: Prior Authorization RepresentativeDuration: Contract to hire - 800 hrs (5-6 months) before converting to full time employee statusLocation: REMOTEPay: $21 - 25Schedule: Hours may range from 9 AM to 8 PM EST (Although the team does not normally work unitl 8 PM); 40 hours guaranteed- Candidates must be flexibleOverviewContact insurance companies to verify patient benefits and coverage detailsManage submission of prior authorization requests for prescription medications via ePA, fax, and phoneReview clinical information and ensure all required documentation is included with submissionsDocument and escalate any issues related to prior authorization requests (e.g., need for additional information or documentation from providers)Serve as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companiesSkills & Qualifications 1+ years of experience working in healthcare operations, particularly in benefits verification, prior authorization, medical billing or coding Understanding of medical terminology and insurance process Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills and adept at using web-based toolssystems Ability to work in person in Soho, NYC Metrics60 authorizations per daySelling PointsGrowing companyRemote work AFTER onsite trainingLooking for people who will be a good long-term fit for their culture.
