With a diverse portfolio and a commitment to excellence, they are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their dynamic team and support our growing business needs.Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager with expertise in real estate taxation to oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance and strategy within our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of tax laws, particularly those affecting real estate transactions, as well as experience managing tax filings and providing strategic guidance on tax planning and risk management.Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for the company and its real estate investments.Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, keeping the company up-to-date with changes in tax legislation, particularly in the real estate sector.Provide strategic tax planning advice to senior management on tax-efficient structuring of real estate transactions, acquisitions, and dispositions.Review and manage the tax provision process, including calculating income tax provisions, deferred tax assets, and liabilities.Analyze and mitigate tax risks related to the company's real estate holdings, investments, and transactions.Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors as needed to ensure proper documentation and reporting.Collaborate with accounting, legal, and finance teams to assess the tax implications of business strategies and new projects.Supervise and mentor junior staff members in tax research, compliance, and reporting tasks.Assist with tax audits and represent the company in dealings with tax authorities.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, MST, or other advanced tax certification preferred.5+ years of tax experience, with a strong emphasis on real estate taxation and tax compliance.Solid understanding of real estate transactions, including 1031 exchanges, REITs, depreciation, and real estate investment structures.Experience with tax compliance software and ERP systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly to non-tax professionals.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.Leadership and team management experience preferred.
