Bartenders are responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving Guests in a friendly and efficient manner. Bartenders play an integral role in ensuring our Guests have exceptional dining experiences. At all times, Bartenders are expected to be attentive to our Guests' needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.The right person will be passionate about food, beverage, and service and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our Guests. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition and previous experience working as a Bartender in a bustling, fast-paced restaurant setting. Bartender shifts may include breakfast, lunch, or dinner and will include weekends and holidays.Responsibilities:Prepare bar for service by stocking all necessary fruits, juices, spirits, bitters, etc.Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for dining room and bar GuestsHelp patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu offering, offering beverages, suggesting courses, explaining any additions to the menu, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, answering allergydietary restriction, and food preparation and sourcing form Guests of basic information about offerings at the restaurant or other bar-lab venues on property andor locallyProtect establishment and patrons by adhering to all bar-lab policies and procedures, sanitation standards, safety and alcohol control policiesStay updated on current menu choices, menu additions, available menu modifications, and any unavailable itemsTransmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and ringing appropriate items into POS; identifying patrons' dietary needs and special requests and any other necessary identifierFire courses according to kitchen and Guest needsEnsure Guests orders make it to them in a timely manner, properly made, and with the correct accompanimentsRespond to additional Guest requests; involving a manager for unusual or difficult requestsMaintain bar by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, being alert to patron spills andor other special needsProperly describe, open, and pour beveragesCorrectly obtain payment by totaling charges, issuing bill, tendering payment, returning change or credit card and signature slip to guestRetrieving signed credit card or room charge slip prior to Guest departure and thanking them for their visitContribute to team effort by assisting other staff as time allowsPerform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by managerFill in for absent staff as neededAssist with special events as neededAdhere to grooming and appearance standards consistentlyPromptly address Guest service issues and refer to management when necessaryAdditional requests made by management to maintain flow of service, Guest experience, andor restaurant cleanlinessQualifications:Previous bartending experience is requiredExcellent verbal communication skills requiredPositive interpersonal skills requiredMust speak English fluentlyPhysically able to carry 35 pounds; able to stand, bend, and move throughout shiftWorks well as part of a team and on individual tasksWorks well and efficiently under pressureGood interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of staff and management Bartender top skills & proficiencies:Dedication to Guest experienceKnowledge of Food and BeverageVerbal CommunicationHigh EnergyAttention to DetailMultitaskingFlexibilityBasic MathCustomer ServiceTeamworkPersistenceEnergy LevelThoroughnessProfessionalismCleanliness - personal and spatial
