Job DescriptionSaint Joseph's Medical Center, is seeking a full time PhlebotomyProcessing SupervisorUnder the general direction of the Laboratory Director.Duties: Supervises non-technical personnel, Written procedures for performing and documenting competency assessment for staff, Direct observations of employees responsibilities Direct observations of compliance with safety protocols Reviews work product for compliance with standard operating procedures Monitors the recording and reporting of test results Assessment of problem solving and remedial action of staff Responsible for ensuring the staff accurately obtains blood samples via venipuncture, heel stick and finger stick collection procedures Ensures that age appropriate care is provided to patients whose ages range from infant to geriatric. Ensures specimen integrity by enforcing the laboratory's procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing Adheres to and enforces departmental policies Departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety.
