Job DetailsJob LocationFreedom House 4 (Brownsville, Brooklyn) - Brooklyn, NYPosition TypeFull-Time Non-ExemptSalary Range$20.00 - $20.00 HourlyDescriptionTitle: Food Service Worker- Administrative Assistant Unit: Food & NutritionReports to: Chef Manager for Food & Nutrition ServicesStatus: Full-Time; Regular; Non-ExemptLocation: 381 Rockaway Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11212DaysHours: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am-3:30pm, Friday 6:30 am - 3:30 pm (Tentatively)Salary: $20 per hour [$36,400 annually]Position Summary:Under supervision of the Chef Manager, this individual will mainly be responsible for receiving and distributing food at one of our residential locations. Their duties will include adhering to NYCDOMH food handling and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness and setup of front of the house area, maintaining inventory, organizing and restocking products and providing excellent customer service. Administrative tasks include tracking and inputting meals served into database, collection and submission of invoices for payment, filing and organizing of HACCP logs, and submitting help desk tickets as needed. The Food Service Worker will also assist with special events and any other food service needs as directed. Travel to other sites within the organization may be required, depending on the needs of the business.
