Job DescriptionCandidates for the Senior Electrical Engineer Designer position should be experienced in the evaluation, design and construction of electrical systems across a broad market spectrum including educational, residential, commercial and industrial facilities. The candidate should also be well versed in building code analysis and interpretation.ResponsibilitiesProjectclient managementPreparing CADREVIT generated construction drawings and specificationsConferring with engineering staff and other personnel to identify and resolve problemsPlanning, scheduling, or coordinating construction project activities to meet deadlines; working directly with clientsAssist as a quality assurance quality control resourceMeeting with clients to coordinate electrical systems with other project elementsManaging multiple projects towards successful completionQualifications10+ years' experience designing lighting and lighting control, electrical distribution, fire alarm and standby generator systemsAbility to identify applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictionsAutoCAD proficientRevit experience preferredP.E. license (MUST)Experience with industry standard software including Microsoft products, AGi32, EnergyPro. Etc.Basic knowledge of all disciplines regarding their general requirements for standard types of projects for discussions with Owners, Contractors, Code Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), and clients.Reviews project deliverablesAbility to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines through completionMonitors timely response for electrical RFIs and Shop Drawing reviewsMentor staff (face-to-face)Monitors progress of projects and client satisfactionAbility to work in a fast-paced team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills
