DescriptionThe part-time Water Safety Instructor will be responsible for planning and instructing pre-assigned classes for Pace University swim lesson participants according to American Red Cross Guidelines andor Pace University aquatic lesson plans.Position DutiesInstruct preassigned class according to American Red Cross Guidelines andor Pace University aquatic lesson plans. Be attentive, motivating, and create a positive and safe learning environment for all your students. Complete all Water Safety Instructor paperwork by a predetermined date so cards can be distributed on the final day of the session. Be to work fifteen minutes before class start to set pool lane lines, put in tot docks, assemble equipment, and greet students. Return pool to the regular configuration at the end of shift; all equipment should be put away. Enforce all pool rules and know the emergency action plan.See that all children are safe and leave with their guardians. Attend all instructor meetings and training sessions. Assist with lifeguard in-service training.Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time. Position QualificationsProficient swimmer experience with children.Work Hours Varied as per class schedule
