Oxbow Midwest Calcining LLC is currently looking for a Utility Operator to join our team in Lemont, IL. This is an entry-level, plant position in the Operations Department. Utility Operatorss' are primarily hired to operate tractor trailers and front-end loaders to support the petcoke handling operations. In addition to equipment operation, the position also requires physical work such as shoveling, general plant housekeeping, yard work and painting. Job Duties Operations of industrial mobile equipment (tractor trailers, lift trucks, front-end loaders, skid steer etc.).Plant housekeeping.Barge loading.Participates in pre-shift safety and operations meetings daily. Follows all safety related policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or designee.RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent GED.Conducts work in a safe manner, adhering to all plant rules and procedures including all applicable ISO 14001 Environmental requirements.Utility Operator should be mechanically inclined, and able to lift 50 lbs. Basic computer skills required. TWIC certification required. Pre-Employment Physical and Drug and Alcohol Testing required. Other training as determined by Management.Successful candidate must have heavy equipment experience such as tractor trailor, CDL, front end loader)
