Director of Nursing Under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Director of Nursing (DON) at Chicago Family Health Center will lead and oversee all nursing services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and compliance with health care regulations. The DON will be responsible for strategic planning, managing nursing staff, implementing clinical policies, and fostering a culture of excellence in patient care. Leverages industry knowledge and best practices to promote the mission and vision of the organization as well as supporting a culture of development.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Leadership & ManagementProvide leadership, direction, and supervision to the nursing staff, including RNs and LPN clinical nurses.Develop and implement nursing service objectives, policies, and procedures.Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure optimal patient care.Participate in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and professional development of nursing personnel.Quality Assurance and ComplianceEnsure nursing services comply with state and federal regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical performance metrics.Develop and implement protocols to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.Analyzing clinical practice and identifying opportunities to improve quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency with Primary and Specialty care; Identifying clinical indicators to measure and improve care;Patient Care Coordination Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and administrative teams to enhance care coordination and patient outcomes.Ensure that patient care is provided in a culturally competent, compassionate, and patient-centered manner.Oversee the management of complex clinical cases and provide direct clinical supervision as needed.Strategic Planning and Budget ManagementParticipate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of the health center's goals and objectives.Prepare and manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources.Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of nursing services, implementing cost-effective practices.Education and Professional DevelopmentPromote continuous learning and professional development opportunities for the nursing anize and conduct training sessions on clinical practices, safety protocols, and new healthcare regulations.Stay updated on the latest nursing and healthcare trends to guide practice munity EngagementRepresent the nursing department in community outreach programs and partnerships.Collaborate with community organizations to improve access to healthcare services and address public health concerns.Foster a positive relationship with patients, families, and the community. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role, preferably in a community health or outpatient setting.Demonstrated knowledge of nursing standards, regulations, and best practices.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment.Bilingual skills (EnglishSpanish) preferred.Certifications andor licensures required (if applicable):Current and valid Illinois Registered Nurse LicenseCurrent ASLBSL CertificationSchedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients. Salary Description $110,000 - $130,000
