The Balance Sheet Mgmt Group Mgr is responsible for identifying and implementing solutions to optimize Citigroup's balance sheet. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires in-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptualpractical grounding in both the function andor area of expertise and related subject areas. Good communication skills required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communicationnegotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility of a team, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.Responsibilities:Work closely with colleagues across Risk, Controllers financial reporting units, and Capital and Liquidity reporting functions to source and aggregate the relevant metrics needed to develop a comprehensive representation of the firm's balance sheetWork with colleagues in Business and Business Treasury to ensure data extracted from financial reporting sources are aligned with managed business hierarchy - apply business acumen across Retail Wholesale Markets to capture idiosyncratic business dynamics leveraging product and client-level dataDesign, implement, and operate processes to effectively source all data in a systematic and transparent mannerLead the design and development of a suite of agile analytical tools to analyze effects of potential regulatory and macro conditions on business-driven balance sheet decisionsDesign, implement and draw insights from innovative analyses using such tools to help inform decision making for Lines of Business, Investment Portfolio, Capital planning and Funding teamProduce high quality materials to concisely communicate insights and balance sheet strategic recommendations to Citi's senior management and Business Treasury teamsSyndicate key messages with senior Business leaders to garner key stakeholder engagement and ensure alignment of broader organization with overall balance sheet strategy executionEnsure that new processes and analyses follow required governance and control per Citi's Standards and PoliciesLeads team decisions including project prioritization, platform direction, and future state planning and strategic direction.Qualifications:10 plus years of experience in financial servicesExcellent communication skills, oral and written, with the ability to interface directly with a wide variety of counterparts across functions seniorityExperience in data management with ability to design database architecture and deploy and maintain database in desktop and cloud environmentsExpert in the use of Excel, PowerPointDemonstrated ability to work effectively across business units functions to deliver resultsHigh energy, self-starter with a flexible and pragmatic attitude and a desire to show continued progressEducation:Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degreeJob Family Group: FinanceJob Family:Balance Sheet & Balance Sheet Attribution ManagementTime Type:Full timePrimary Location:New York New York United StatesPrimary Location Full Time Salary Range:$176,720.00 - $265,080.00In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
