Description Contacting insurance companies and patients on daily basis Basic knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance billing Working Accounts Receivable and provide detailed report to management Billing of unpaid claims Organizing, researching and preparing appeals Correspondence and appeal denials done in a timely manner with pro-active follow-up on appeals in process Monthly follow-up on all claims over 45 daysMust have knowledge of both CMS 1500 and Ub-04 claim forms.Previous nephrology experience preferredPosition Requirements 3+ years experience as a Full-cycle Medical Biller Collector Must have an understanding of HCFC1500 and UB04 claim forms Knowledge of HIPAA compliance Proficient knowledge of Nephrology and or dialysis billing Strong knowledge and implementation of appeals process Strong analysis of EOBs for collections purposes Extremely detail oriented when working on appeals or reviewing EOBs Ability to multi-task with short timelines Ability to prioritize, organize work, and complete assignments in a timely matter Excellent interpersonal skillsTYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required.
