Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records or inputs information to patients' medical record. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. ResponsibilitiesAccompany patient to examprocedure roomPrepare patients for examination and treatmentCheck the schedule and organize patient flowPrepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and suppliesEnsure that all treatment rooms are cleaned and stock at the end of the workdayAssist providers in preparing the patient and the facilities for minor surgeriesPrepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including equipment sterilizationAssist with scheduling of patient's tests and treatmentsCleaning and spore testing of the autoclave, adhering to scheduled maintenance and maintain record-Maintenance of biopsy log, biopsy slides, and pathology reportsProcess prescription refills in compliance with established procedures, assuring authorization for prescriptions as neededRequirementsOne (1) year of experience as a qualified medical assistant plus one (1) year of experience in dermatology or related field OR three (3) years of experience as a medical assistant in dermatology or related field.Dermatology and Surgery experience RequiredMust have reliable transportation to travel to CSI locationsKnowledge of medical office management systems and proceduresExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workSocial perceptiveness and service orientedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skillsProficiency in MS Office and patient management software, NextechBenefits and PerksWe value our employees' time and efforts.
