POSITION SUMMARYThe Grants Manager is responsible for obtaining support from foundations and government partners to strengthen the work of the Center for Family Support. In collaboration with the Director of Development and program staff leadership, the Grants Manager will identify opportunities for program development and expansion, providing guidance based on the philanthropic landscape. They will partner to create competitive applications and deliver increased funding for vital initiatives.The Grants Manager reports to the Director of Development. By raising funds for key CFS project, the Manager is a crucial part of CFS' strategic plan, helping CFS deliver on its mission to provide person-centered support to each individual we work with.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop a comprehensive grants program at CFSResearch and identify potential fundersFoster positive relationships with potential and current fundersAuthor compelling grant proposalsTrack and manage grants, including submitting reports and renewal requests on deadlineReport on grants program when necessaryGenerate funding from both private and government partnersCollaborate with key CFS stakeholders to support the organization's strategic goals and the grant programShare understanding of philanthropic opportunities with program leadership and senior staff to support program development and strategic initiativesListen to program staff priorities for ways to expand programs or start new initiatives based on the needs of the organization and those supported.Work with program staff, finance, administration, and other CFS departments where required to complete all aspects of program and funding proposals. Support the Development Director, as requested.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree preferred.Knowledge and experience in grants fundraising and management, preferably in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field, or one related.2+ years of experience in professional fundraising.Solid, proven budget management skills including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reportingThe Center for Family Support provides equal employment opportunities to all.
