If you're ready to drive change and make history, apply now!What you'll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:Lead and manage a team of engineers responsible for the development, assembly, and test preparation of mule, prototype and pre-series vehiclesFoster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing within the teamDevelop and implement project plans for prototype and pre-series vehicle programs, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure that the vehicles are delivered on scheduleCoordinate the assembly and integration of prototype vehicles, maintaining a cross functional cooperation with all engineering teams as well as with the validation teams to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standardsOversee the installation and testing of experimental components and systems on prototype vehiclesEnsure thorough documentation of all prototype and pre-series vehicle activities, including build records, change or modification records as well as lessons learnedGenerate regular progress reports for senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and proposed solutionsWork closely with external suppliers and the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of prototype components and materialsEnsure the quality and reliability of the vehicles by implementing rigorous quality control processes and addressing any issues that arise during the vehicle build and testingEnsure that prototype and pre-series vehicles comply with all relevant safety and environmental regulations and standards including a camouflage concept that is accepted by the GroupIdentify potential risks and challenges in the vehicle build-ups and develop contingency plans to mitigate themIdentify opportunities to improve the development process and implement best practicesDevelop and manage budgets for prototype and pre-series vehicle programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with overall project goals and seek ways to reduce costs without compromising the quality and performance of the vehiclesLocation & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events 4-5 daysweek. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI.
