Medical Assistant

A substance abuse treatment facility located in Fresh Meadows, Queens New York is seeking full-time, part-time MedicalNurse Assistants. We are a 24 hour-7 day week operation. You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide patient care under the direction of nursing staffAssist in the transfer and discharge proceduresResponsible for vital signsMaintain a clean and healthy environmentMay be required to draw and process blood specimenConduct roundsAssistant in meal periodsConduct searches based on OASAS approved guidelinesQualifications:Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fieldsSatisfactorily completed nursing assistant or medical assistant program.Ability to build rapport with patientsCompassionate and caring demeanorMental Health or Substance Abuse Facility experience preferred.Must be computer literateMust have CPR certification (or obtain one within 30 days from the date of hire)1199 SEIU Benefits.
