Relocation Assistance is Available.Section Manager, Performance & Operational EngineeringAre you an experienced electrical engineering leader looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact? We are seeking a Section Manager for Performance & Operational Engineering to lead critical functions within our Electrical Engineering organization. Reporting to the Director of Electrical Engineering, this role provides leadership, communication, and strategic oversight for the Performance and Operational Engineering & Mapping sections.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Strategy: Develop department goals, monitor performance, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Prepare and submit electric reliability regulatory reports for NYPSC & NJBPU, ensuring adherence to industry standards.System Performance & Reliability: Direct engineers in analyzing electric interruptions to meet compliance, regulatory, and audit obligations.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to resolve system issues and escalate electric customer reliability concerns.Data & Asset Management: Oversee timely GIS data updates and ensure accurate visual documentation of gas and electric plant assets.Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: To ensure operational resilience, develop and maintain emergency response plans.Team Development: Mentor and provide feedback to engineers, fostering a professional, team-oriented dustry Best Practices: Stay updated on trends and lead training initiatives to enhance team expertise.Qualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience or Master's Degree in Engineering with 6+ years of experience (preferred: 12+ years with a Bachelor's or 8+ years with a Master's).Strong background in engineering, operations, andor maintenance of electric systems.Experience with PSCBPU regulatory filings and compliance.Proven ability to lead teams and projects, supervise engineers, and drive organizational success.Skills & Abilities:Strong communication and presentation skills across all management levels.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).Ability to make independent decisions and work collaboratively with internalexternal stakeholders.Additional Requirements:Valid Driver's License (required).Must be able to respond to company emergencies as part of a System Emergency Assignment.This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven engineering leader to play a crucial role in ensuring electric reliability and operational excellence.
