Responsibilities JOB SUMMARY: This is a flexPRN bilingual (English-Spanish) Clinical Therapist position with our Schoolhouse Counseling Center locations. Our locations include the western, southwest, and far south suburbs of Chicago (Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Plainfield, Oak Lawn, Blue Island, Chicago Heights, Crete). The Clinical Therapist will: Complete initial intake assessments to new clients entering the program and provide preliminary diagnosis and treatment recommendations; deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions to children, adolescents and adults in the school-based clinic setting; develop initial and updated therapy treatment plans to guide the client's clinical treatment with the practice; maintain and submit appropriate documentation as well as billing submission under the standards of the outpatient services department; engage in clinical consultation with other members of the treatment team as indicated; ensure adherence with census requirements of the outpatient programs. Please note this position will focus heavily on addressing the therapeutic needs of our Spanish-speaking clients and families. Qualifications JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Education: M.A M.S. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology or MSW. Experience: One year clinical experience within an inpatientoutpatientschool-based setting; the one year can be a training experience as well. One year experience conducting therapeutic services in Spanish strongly preferred. LicensureCertification: LPCLSW or LCPCLCSW in Illinois preferred. Knowledge: Working knowledge of Hospital safety policy and procedures. Excellent communications skills. Must possess knowledge of general psychiatric principles, working concepts and theory, age specific growth and development, limit setting, as well as crisis and behavioral management.Supervision Received: Clinical Supervisor within the department Supervision Exercised: NoneLine of Promotion: Full Time Clinical Therapist; Clinical Supervisor Working Conditions. Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violentaggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, bloodbody fluids and other hazardous waste. School building environment andor virtual work as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally in clear concise manner. Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping.
