Business Development ExecutiveInside Sales - Private EquityThe Business Development Executive is responsible for developing and increasing market presence for our Client's consulting services in the Private Equity sector. This individual will collaborate closely with the Industry Leader to design and execute a targeted market penetration strategy, focusing on identifying, engaging, qualifying, and building relationships with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies.The role involves outreach to C-suite executives and senior decision-makers within Private Equity firms to schedule high-quality meetings for the Industry Leader Partner. The specialist will also perform market research, profile target firms, and provide support for marketing campaigns in the Private Equity sector.You will have a commercial mindset, experience in the consulting sector, and a strong understanding of the financial and operational challenges within the Private Equity space. Proficiency with CRM systems for managing outreach efforts is essential.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Client services, solutions, customers, and industries, with a focus on Private Equity and their Portfolio Companies.Partner with the Industry Leader to craft and execute a market penetration strategy targeting decision-makers within Private Equity firms.Generate new business leads for Industry Leaders through telephone, email, and other direct marketing methods.Build and maintain relationships with Private Equity firms and their portfolio companies.Develop strategies to maintain and grow relationships with key decision-makers.Support Industry Leaders by preparing for meetings and providing post-meeting follow-up assistance.Ensure CRM records are accurate, including key contacts, sales history, and competitive intelligence.Meet and exceed short- and long-term sales objectives.Minimum Qualifications and Experience:A minimum of five years of increasing sales experience, including at least three years in direct sales.Demonstrated success building relationships with C-suite executives and business partners.Previous experience in Private Equity or consulting services for financial institutions is strongly preferred.Experience selling in the consulting industry is highly desirable.Required Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong understanding of Private Equity operations and portfolio management.Excellent telephone presence and communication skills.Ability to leverage existing contacts within the Private Equity sector is a plus.Resilience and ability to excel in a high-rejection sales environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).Strong organizational and administrative skills.Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office.This is a remote, home-office-based position. While we have listed New York as the city, the candidate can live elsewhere on the east coast, mid-west, and central US and work remotely. We seek an entrepreneurial, financially motivated individual who has historically done well in this role, with total earnings in the mid to high six figures the norm.
