The Business Development Director will report to Eagle Hill's DHS Portfolio Lead and will drive the portfolio's growth by expanding our existing CBP footprint and breaking into other DHS agencies. They will leverage their CBP and DHS expertise and relationships and their understanding of Eagle Hill's service lines to lead business development campaigns, identify and pursue strategic opportunities, shape new work, and develop proposals to sell new and follow-on work. Responsibilities of the Business Development Director will include, but are not limited to - Achieving pipeline, sales, and business development results that meet or exceed assigned targetsDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential DHS clients, partners, and stakeholdersDeveloping and managing account growth strategies, break-in plans, and a multi-year pipeline of opportunities in accordance with Eagle Hill's DHS and Federal sector strategiesIdentifying, evaluating, and qualifying large contracts and contract vehicles within CBP and DHS, as well as shaping new opportunitiesLeading the full business development lifecycle for qualified opportunities, including capture and teaming strategies, competitor analysis, client demonstrations and relationship development, and written proposals and other responses. Developing compelling win themes that differentiate Eagle Hill's solution offerings and understanding of client objectivesCollaborating with the Eagle Hill Solutions and Marketing teams to create and communicate compelling solution offerings and drive new capabilities into target accountsPartnering with Eagle Hill CBP and DHS leadership to leverage existing relationships and expertiseLeading and mentoring teams and developing business development skills in team membersWhat are the Required Qualifications?Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of 10 years of total work experience, including a minimum of 5 years of experience successfully selling consulting services in the DHS market, to include CBPProven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and ability to manage and forecast complex sale processesStrong network within CBP and other DHS agenciesExperience developing break-in plansExperience leading the identification, evaluation, and qualification of and winning high-value opportunities (>$10M single award and $20M-$100M vehicles)Demonstrated experience in ALL areas of business development and the Federal BD lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, formal capture processes, and experience developing and leading winning proposals. Knowledge of Federal acquisition laws and proceduresExperience developing teaming strategies, identifying partners, and negotiating agreementsFamiliarity with sales and other relevant technology platforms, including online tools used by the Federal Government for solicitations and the federal buying cycle. Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to understanding complex client challenges and shape associated new opportunitiesStrong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making abilitiesExperience interfacing, communicating, and negotiating with senior executives. Excellent facilitation and written and oral communication skills, including development of white papers, technical volumes, and oral presentationsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureAbility to successfully complete and retain any company, federal, or other background investigations required to perform client workWhat are the Desired Qualifications?Experience delivering andor selling work in Eagle Hill's core service lines (Talent, Strategy & Performance, and Change)In addition to CBP, knowledge of and strategic relationships within one or more of the following agencies: DHS HQ, CISA, USCIS, ICE HSI, FEMA, andor TSAThis position is located in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and applicants must be willing and able to work at our Crystal City office and at client sites throughout the DC Metro region.
