Staff Tax Accountant

Job Title: Staff Tax Accountant Location: New York, NY Pay: $30 - $35 hour Midtown law firm is looking for a temp to perm tax staff accountant. The primary responsibility will be assisting with the preparation of the partners' drawsdistribution schedules and accounting for all partner related activity. This role is an integral part of the tax department, assisting with tax compliance matters, foreign bank reporting and other duties assigned by the team. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:•2+ years of experience of accounting experience in a professional services or corporate environment, preferably law firm experience.•Able to multi-task and prioritize to complete time-sensitive tasks. This is a high profile function.•Demonstrate high attention to detail, sense of urgency, dependability and excellent friendly customer service.•Proficient in Excel and Word.•Individual must be organized and maintain neat paper and electronic files•Capable of working independently as well as interacting with colleagues in Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Finance and General Accounting EducationCertifications:•B.A. in Accounting mandatory; CPA preferred•Experience in a law firm, especially in partner accounting, highly desirable Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
