Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Sheet Metal OperatorJob DescriptionAs a Sheet Metal Operator, you will take raw sheet metal coils and run them through machines to create parts for various departments, such as cutting out wall panels and making racks that go inside units. You will be responsible for operating machines to cut, bend, punch, and shear materials. Additionally, you will load and unload materials, ensuring machines run properly. Most tasks are computer-based, involving pressing buttons and monitoring screens.ResponsibilitiesOperate machines to cut, bend, punch, and shear sheet metal.Load and unload materials, ensuring smooth machine operation.Monitor computer-based systems, pressing buttons and looking at screens.Fabricate parts by working with sheet metal and reading blueprints.Inspect final parts for quality assurance.Start on one machine for the first three months before training on additional machines.Essential SkillsExperience with sheet metal fabrication.Proficiency in machine operation, including press brake and grinding.Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of programming.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Familiarity with mild steel and hand and power tools.Strong mathematical skills.Computer literacy and comfort with computer technology.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience with mills and lathes.Familiarity with programming is a plus.Why Work Here?We offer competitive pay, 40 extra PTO hours after the first year, employer-paid medical, dental, and life insurance, and company-sponsored events.
