We hustle every day to help meet the unique needs of each organization we work with and we are looking for Systems Administrators in the Lincoln/Omaha and surrounding areas to help our team and the organizations we work with grow.We offer great benefits including, self managed time off, medical reimbursement, free life/dental/vision, cell phone & internet reimbursement, free parking in the heart of downtown Lincoln, and more!What we are looking for in a Systems Administrator:Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar roleExperience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch managementKnowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recoverExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and supporting applicationsFamiliarity with various operating systems and platformsResourcefulness and problem-solving aptitudeAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with all clients and coworkersPast work experience in a high-traffic customer service settingExcellent phone etiquetteExcellent customer service skills that exceed customers expectationsStrong problem solving and research skillsAbility to acquire and maintain a working knowledge of a wide range of applications and servicesContinual awareness of changes that directly affect other team members and customersWhat our Systems Administrators do:Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirementsDevelop and maintain installation and configuration proceduresContribute to and maintain system standardsResearch and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backupsPerform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusionPerform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessaryPerform regular file archival and purge as necessaryCreate, change, and delete user accounts per requestProvide support per request from various clientsInvestigate and troubleshoot issuesRepair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted clientsApply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessaryUpgrade and configure system software that supports infrastructure applications per project or operational needsMaintain operational, configuration, or other proceduresPerform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planningPerform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
