Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryPart-time Youth Pastor - Job PostingSt. Pauls County Line ChurchPosition SummaryThe Youth Pastor will help our church family reach, love, and make disciples of our Youth (junior and senior high school age). This position develops and implements a discipleship process that helps young people grow consistently in their relationship with God. This is a part-time position averaging 16 hours / week.DutiesKey ResponsibilitiesPlan and implement a weekly Sunday School Youth programPlan and implement a weekly Youth program Organize and facilitate periodic retreats, concert trips, conferences, fun activities, etc.Organize annual mission tripsDevelop and implement strategies aimed at both discipleship and outreachProvide direct pastoral care to Youth on an on-call basis as well as planned sessionsAttend extracurricular activities of YouthCoordinate Youth activities with Lead PastorRequirementsMinimum Qualifications RequiredBorn again believer with a vital and maturing relationship with Christ.Demonstrated faithful pursuit of leadership characteristics as listed in 1 Timothy 3.A clear calling to serve God.Agreement with and adherence to the churchs beliefs as described in its Constitution and By-Laws.Undergraduate degree in Ministry or related field.A thorough knowledge of the BibleTwo or more years of experience in ministryAble to plan, organize and implement ministry programsDemonstrated genuine love and solid rapport with YouthSensitive to needs and pressures of teens and young adultsOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsAbility and willingness to become a member of the church and attend worship services regularlyNice To HavesAdditional Desired QualificationsSpecialized Youth Ministry trainingFive or more years of experience in leading and teaching youth ministry programsExperience in short-term mission work.St. Pauls County Line Church is an evangelical, non-denominational rural church with an average attendance of 125.
