Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionProduction operators are responsible for mixing and blending feed mixes through a computer program. You will push buttons for certain feeds and pounds per mix, which could include up to 5+ different ingredients. The main job involves handling semi-trucks filled with soybeans that enter the facility. These soybeans are processed through machines, separating proteins that are then shipped out to be included in animal food. Some ingredients require manual fills, necessitating climbing up 2-3 stories to dump ingredients into a hopper.ResponsibilitiesOperate computer programs to mix and blend feed mixes.Push buttons for specific feeds and weight per mix, involving up to 5+ different ingredients.Handle semi-trucks filled with soybeans entering the facility.Process soybeans through machines to separate proteins for animal food.Manually fill certain ingredients, which requires climbing up 2-3 stories to dump ingredients into a hopper.Be flexible with shift timings and be prepared to come in early or stay late.Essential SkillsExperience in production, machine operation, general labor, and assembly.Skills in machine operating, general production, packaging, inspection, and packing.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior mechanical experience on a farm is preferred.Comfortable with dirty and physical work.Why Work Here?Join a team that values flexibility and dedication. Shift timings are as follows: 1st Shift: 7am - 3pm, 1/2 Shift: 11am - 7pm, 2nd Shift: 3pm - 11pm, 2/3 Shift: 7pm - 3am, 3rd Shift: 11pm - 7am. Training will be conducted on the first shift.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riceville, Iowa.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
