Job DescriptionJob DescriptionConstruction company looking to hire on a utility foreman.RESPONSIBILITIESTo guide and direct activities on a given project while adhering to all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations, while meeting all production goals.Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and proceduresCarry out plan set forth by management and engineeringRead and interpret engineered plans and stake out in the fieldSetup GPS base station and GPS guided equipmentPerform JSA, tool box talks and any required safety training / planning / communication that is particular to the projectCommunicate production issues and constraints and implement plans to overcome themEnsure heavy equipment is safely and securely storedParticipate in routine equipment maintenancePractice Safely, All DayComplete daily fuel, load count and hour logs, dailyComplete daily workplace examinations and repair deficienciesMaintain all credit card receipts, coded correctly and complete expense report turned in weeklyMaintain a professional appearance at all timesMaintain company vehicle to company standardsGeneral daily preventative equipment maintenanceMaintain current tool inventory in maintenance trailer / truckMaintain fuel tank level and inventory, communicate to management for deliveriesKeep the job site clean, prepared for inclement weather and on trackMaintain all erosion control devices and report deficienciesGuide and lead the crew in all daily activitiesPerform minor emergency repairs on equipment as needed REQUIREMENTSKnowledge: Equipment operation and maintenance Equipment safety General site preparation techniques and procedures Rigging Storm drainage pipe and manhole installation, including grouting, masonry and concrete procedures Water line installation, including hydrants, valves, BFPs, hydrostatic testing procedures Sewer line installation including gravity sewer, force main sewer, lift stations, manholes and testing procedures Site preparation surveying and layout Knowledge of operation of wheel loaders, dozers, excavators, compactors, and other pieces of heavy equipment Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures Skills: Ability to operate all types of equipment according to the manufacturers recommendations Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner Survey, layout of utility lines Client service and public interaction skills Team building Analytical and problem solving skills Decision making skills Effective verbal and listening communications skills Ability to communicate effectively in English Ability to read and write to record pickups and maintain daily records Stress management skills Time management skillsGeneral Requirements:Must have a valid drivers license with less than (3) moving violations in (3) years Must be able to pass drug / alcohol screenings Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
