Send your resume to our RPS Recruiters, at RPS@ to learn more about this fantastic opportunity!Perks & BenefitsDirect Deposit or Cash Card pay optionsMedical / Dental Insurance$35.00/HourEmployment Type & ShiftsFull TimeDirect Hire1st ShiftJob ResponsibilitiesAssures that tank/compartment has an updated safe for hot work ticket and that requirements of the ticket have been met.Assures that conditions of the tank/compartment have not changed since the ticket was written.Assures that a Work Authorization Form (WAF) ticket is on the job site and that it is for the specific job being accomplished, no work will be accomplished without a WAF posted at the location of repairs.Assures that any other safety issues are complied with that relate to the specific job being accomplished.Assures that you are trained or qualified for the work you are assigned to do.Assures that General Dynamics-NASSCO's Safety Procedures, including testing, are utilized for all torch work.Assures that you and personnel working under your direction are working as safely and as productively as possible maintaining quality control at all times.Assures that a 30 minute cool down period has been accomplished in hot work areas.Qualifications:Must have full knowledge of WAF'sMust know all 1st Class requirementsMust be able to complete work with little or no guidance from SupervisorMust have basic knowledge of Standard ItemsMust have basic knowledge of ship equipmentWorks well with others.Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation. Must have a reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required.Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility.Must have good eye/hand coordination.Must be familiar with working in a naval-ship-work-environment and be able to go aboard marine vesselsThese areas can be dirty, dusty, hot or cold, and noisy.Must have or soon acquire a valid passport.Associate RequirementsHS Diploma or GEDBackground CheckAble to Lift 50 poundsDrug TestMust be at least 18 years oldThe hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $35.00 - $35.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
