Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionIn this position, you will be working off of blueprints and shop drawings to assemble military trailers. You will use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble, fasten, and rivet various components of the trailers. The work will be conducted in teams of 2 to 5 people.ResponsibilitiesAssemble military trailers according to blueprints and shop drawings.Use hand and power tools to fasten and rivet components.Collaborate in teams of 2 to 5 to complete assembly tasks.Ensure all assembly work meets quality and safety standards.Essential Skills2+ years of mechanical experience in assembly or working on vehicles.1+ year previous experience using hand, power, and air tools.1+ year experience reading a tape measure (test required).Ability to read and interpret blueprints (test required).Must provide own tools (list will be provided).Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious assembly experience.Experience in mechanical repair work.Experience working on government contracts.Why Work Here?This is a unique opportunity to work in a clean, well-lit facility that is dedicated to supporting the military. The position offers a stable first shift schedule, with potential for overtime on Fridays.Work EnvironmentThe facility is clean and well-lit, with tall ceilings and is divided into cells where the trailers are assembled. It is heated in the winter but not air-conditioned in the summer, so it can be warm. The environment can be noisy in some areas due to air tools, but the noise is not consistent. The plant is divided into three areas: machining/fabrication, assembly, and the paint shop. There are about 100 employees currently working on the first shift from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory Fridays as needed.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clintonville, Wisconsin.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
