Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in the search for a Sr. Procurement Manager to join our team located in East, Texas. As a Sr. Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in the food industry, driving strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, leading a team of inventory and materials management professionals, and ensuring operational performance aligns with company policies and food safety requirements.Responsibilities: Execute procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives and operational needs, focusing on cost savings and supplier performance. Manage sourcing strategies to ensure continuity of supply and adherence to quality standards. Establish strong relationships with key suppliers in the food industry/CPG space. Oversee supplier contracts, negotiations, and agreements to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality deliverables. Lead and develop a team of inventory professionals, enhancing their skills to meet organizational objectives. Create a team environment focused on continuous improvement within the procurement function. Ensure procurement operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and food safety requirements. Analyze procurement-related data and trends to identify opportunities for savings, efficiency, and better resource allocation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including R& D, supply chain, and finance teams, to support product development, forecasting, and budget goals. Provide sourcing strategies and procurement practice recommendations to executive leadership to drive profitability. Applicant should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field Familiarity with CRM software is required Experience with ERP - Sage is highly preferred but not required Knowledge of ERP Solutions is a must Understanding of Negotiations, Budget Processes and Buying Processes is essential Excellent Customer Service skills are required Should be capable of handling Invoice related tasks Experience as a Buyer is necessary Strong Leadership Skills are a must Proficiency in Contract Negotiation is required.
