Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and efficient Cashier to join our team at Fast Lane Market. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while processing transactions, maintaining a clean store environment, and assisting customers with their needs. You will be responsible for handling cash, operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every customer.Key Responsibilities:Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.Operate the cash register, scanning items, and processing payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.Maintain accurate cash register balances and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.Ensure all merchandise is properly stocked and organized on the sales floor.Assist in restocking shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the cashier area.Follow store policies and procedures, including those for safety, security, and inventory management.Assist in opening and closing the store, as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual looking for a rewarding position, apply today to join our dynamic team at Fast Lane Market!Requirements:Qualifications:Previous experience in retail or customer service is a plus, but not required.Ability to learn how to operate a cash register and handle money accurately.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Basic math skills and attention to detail.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for long periods of time.Occasionally lift and carry merchandise up to 30 Lbs.Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as scanning items and handling cash.
