Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Finishing AssemblerJob DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated individuals for general assembler positions in the finishing department. This facility specializes in rotational molding, producing plastic molds such as filter housings, end caps, support cages, gaskets, and seals. The finishing assembler is responsible for installing the accessories that connect the air filters and completing visual inspections to ensure the correct parts are installed and any excess plastic is trimmed or glue is scraped off.ResponsibilitiesCutting: Use hand tools and scissors to cut excess pieces off the filter element once the product is brought over.Assembly: Follow work instructions to attach the correct parts to the housing using hand and power tools, glue, and a griddle to heat up glue and solidify the assembly. Understand the type of cap material, size, and attachment process.Final Inspection: Double-check that the correct components are installed and that there are no discrepancies in the product (e.g., unsightly seams, wrong size components, excess plastic bits).Packaging: Print the label, put the filter in the box, label the box, and place the box in the tote to be taken by material handlers to the shipping dock.Essential SkillsComfortable using basic hand tools such as torque drivers and plastic mallets.Proficiency with trim tools and propane torches.Ability to perform visual inspections.Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical aptitude.Experience with hand and power tools.General production knowledge.Ability to read blueprints and schematics.Why Work Here?This role offers the opportunity to work in a hands-on environment with a relaxed dress code, where safety and precision are valued. Currently, the hours are 7AM-3PM Mon-Fri, with extended hours of 5AM-3PM Mon-Sat. The facility is relatively small at 50,000 sq ft, with up to 5 forklifts in operation, requiring awareness of surroundings. All necessary PPE is provided except for steel toe shoes.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Monticello, Indiana.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.53 - $18.53/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
