Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Powerplant MechanicDepartment: Powerplant DivisionPosition Type: Regular Full TimeReports to: Lead MechanicPosition Description: Working with fellow crew members to ensure projects achieve top quality work and milestones are completed on time. Ensuring company and FAA procedures and policies are followed. Ensuring that work productivity is satisfactory. Keeping a clean, safe workplace at all times. Recommending improvements to increase performance, quality, etc. Ensuring that waste materials, oils, fluids, etc. are handled correctly Perform any other duties assigned by the lead.Required Qualifications: Must hold at least an FAA Powerplant License. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalency Must hold a valid US drivers license Must be adept and proficient on the use of technical data/manuals. Must be available for flexible hours and weekends Must have excellent communication skills Must have a positive and professional attitude, good leadership skills and work well with others under minimal supervision. Must be a self-motivator and have competent problem solving skills.Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write and understand spoken English. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have the ability to understand verbal and written instructionsPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in a shop environment and maintenance setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
