Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob PurposeThe ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing processes related to ASAM implementation for the agency. This role is integral in ensuring the accurate submission and management of the Treatment Episode Dataset (TEDs) forms, which are critical to the agency's compliance and billing functions.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Preferred: Previous experience in billing or an Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.Strong verbal communication skills are essential. Core Job DutiesSubmit TEDs forms into the TEDs Submission System accurately and on time.Identify and resolve any upload errors in a timely manner.Collaborate with various departments to troubleshoot and fix submission errors.Investigate and correct billing discrepancies related to ASAM/TEDs issues.Update and manage spreadsheet records in the agencys data warehouse.Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models. Orally communicate information effectively and accurately. Assure program operates within the constraints of the agencys certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care. Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
