Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSUMMARY: The Station Manager oversees and supports daily airport station operations. The person in this position will lead the team in focusing on safety, security, efficiency, and providing extraordinary customer service.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all facets of airline station operationsDemonstrate leadership of the company by possessing a positive attitude, working from a place of integrity, having a sense of humor, an appreciation for employees and customers as individuals, importance of employee development and inclusion, recognition of others, job excellence, relationship building, kindness and continuous mindfulness of overall company goalsTimely and responsible communication with all departments and managementAssure and promote staff developmentMaintain and foster positive business relationships with local airport authority and agencies as well as build and maintain positive business relationships with contract carriersManage station staffing levels and budgetingEnsure that all employees meet initial and recurrent training requirementsInterview prospective employees with HRConduct performance reviews and station performance planningAssure excellent customer service and efficient station operationAttend regular corporate meetings in Hyannis as applicable via telephone or willingness to travel, as requiredAdditional duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Previous supervisory or management experience, required Experience in the following areas required: budgeting, interviewing, disciplinary action, performance planning, payroll and schedulingExperience in building and maintaining airport regulatory relationships, requiredAbility to enforce policy and procedure, requiredMust be able and willing to do short and long haul travel and work non-standard hours especially during special eventsMust demonstrate an understanding of the connection between overall mission and daily tasksMust be a proficient writer have an adequate grasp of English grammarExcellent communication and excellent customer service skills requiredAbility to interact effectively with othersAbility to work independently and adapt to changing work prioritiesMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Office and ExcelMust possess a genuine desire to serve internal and external customers, build relationships and work collaborativelyAble to multi-task in a stressful environment requiredStrong customer service and strong oral/written communication skills requiredMust meet same basic job qualifications as all station agents: Must be at least 18 years oldMust hold a high school diploma or equivalentIf location requires any type of driving such as baggage delivery, fueling, etc., applicant must hold and maintain a drivers license valid in that locationMust be able to lift up to 70 lbs.Basic computer skills requiredExcellent communication and excellent customer service skills requiredAbility to interact effectively with othersAbility to work independently and adapt to changing work prioritiesAbility to communicate effectively, orally and in writingFlexibility of schedule is a mustThis position will often require working nights, weekends and holidaysMust exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
