Parent Parlor Supervisor

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryABC LOL, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate person to oversee the operation of the Parent Parlor, a designated space for parents and families to engage in supervised visitation with their children. The Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the Parent Parlor, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment, and supporting families in their reunification process. This role involves supervising visits, assisting with family dynamics in a sensitive, professional manner and taking detailed notes of each visit. DutiesSupervise and monitor visitations between parents and children to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all visitations, including any incidents or concerns.Ensure the Parent Parlor is clean, organized, and appropriately stocked with resources to support visits.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with families, social workers, and other DCF staff members.Report any concerns related to child safety, family dynamics, or parental behavior to appropriate DCF personnel.Address any behavioral or safety concerns promptly and appropriately during visits.Support families in understanding and adhering to visitation policies and procedures.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all DCF policies and legal requirements.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required); Associates or Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred but willing to train the right person Experience working with children and families, particularly in a social services or child welfare setting prefferedStrong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations.Knowledge of child development and family dynamics.Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).Background check and fingerprint clearance (required).BenefitsABC and LOL LLC Offers:Paid vacation and sick timeIRA plan with 3% matchSupplemental l insurancePaid Professional Development opportunitiesEmployee Child Care discountGym MembershipPaid planning timeEducational counseling and support to further your educationand many other benefitsComprehensive Maternity leave package
