Currently, we are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter to fill the role of Automotive Body Shop Painter & Estimator. This dual-role position is responsible for preparing and painting vehicles to the highest standards, as well as accurately assessing damage, writing repair estimates, and communicating with customers and insurance companies. The ideal candidate has both technical expertise and strong customer service skills.ResponsibilitiesAs a Painter, you will:Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning surfaces.Mix and apply paint using spray guns and other equipment to match manufacturer specifications.Inspect painted surfaces for quality and ensure a flawless finish.Maintain painting tools, equipment, and a clean working environment.Follow safety procedures and industry best practices for hazardous materials.As an Estimator, you will:Inspect damaged vehicles and determine the scope of repairs needed.Prepare accurate repair estimates using estimating softwareCommunicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians.Obtain parts pricing and ensure timely ordering of necessary materials.Document repair process and maintain up-to-date records for each job.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.3+ years of experience in auto body painting and/or estimating.Strong knowledge of automotive repair and refinishing techniques.Proficiency with estimating software and understanding of insurance claims processes.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.Valid drivers license and clean driving record.Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.Comfortable working in a shop environment with paint fumes and noise.
