Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCome be a part of our team today!Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that accurate and effective plans are developed for the execution of non-urgent maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, corrective work, condition monitoring, and major maintenance activities for maintenance crafts. This position involves coordinating resources, materials, and documentation to ensure efficient execution of maintenance tasks and contributing to the continuous improvement of planning processes.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Planning:Develop and ensure accurate plans for the execution of non-urgent maintenance tasks, including preventative and corrective work, condition monitoring, and major maintenance activities.Determine the appropriate level of planning required for non-urgent work and ensure effective planning, including resource identification, spare parts, materials, documentation, statutory requirements, and special requirements.Work Package Development:Monitor and support the creation of detailed work packages to ensure they translate into productive work efforts, maintaining a focus on efficiency and safety.Resource Coordination:Manage the coordination of external resources when required, and provide recommendations to maximize performance.Monitor demand/orders for stock and non-stock items, ensuring accurate reflection throughout the planning process.Documentation & Compliance:Ensure that all necessary documentation and communication requirements are developed and properly utilized, including permits and certificates for notifiable work.Assist crafts and supervisors in coordinating additional resources, materials, and parts as the scope of work changes.Performance Review:Review planned versus actual performance for standard work plans to gauge estimation accuracy and identify areas for continuous improvement.Assist supervisors and project managers with major maintenance execution, updating plans as required to reflect scope changes.Contingency Planning:Develop accurate contingency plans to mobilize resources efficiently and minimize plant downtime during both planned and unplanned shutdowns.Project Planning & Coordination:Ensure all planning and estimates for projects meet execution requirements and are conducted in accordance with established procedures.Coordinate with the Turnaround organization and other relevant teams as necessary.Reporting & Monitoring:Develop and monitor reporting systems that track planning effectiveness and compliance with maintenance plans.Produce routine and exception reports on maintenance planning issues, and troubleshoot scheduling and planning challenges with Maintenance Management.Backlog Management & Scheduling:Facilitate backlog review meetings to align planning priorities with operational needs.Oversee the development of detailed work schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Akwire, P6), ensuring proper communication among Planners, Maintenance Supervisors, Craftsmen, Storeroom personnel, and Operations Coordinators.CMMS Management:Oversee the asset management control process and ensure the accuracy of equipment inventory in the CMMS.Update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and task lists within the CMMS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.Continuous Improvement & Mentorship:Mentor and support planners to ensure proper utilization of planning & scheduling procedures, processes, and CMMS.Identify opportunities for process improvements and share best practices to enhance overall maintenance efficiency.Collaboration & Communication:Collaborate with various departments and team members to ensure smooth coordination and communication.Participate in local and global teams to execute specific projects or foster the corporate use of CMMS.Safety & Compliance:Uphold and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and service excellence.Conduct all work in accordance with Responsible Care principles and organizational goals.Additional Responsibilities:Other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or manager.Actively contribute to the companys organizational vision and corporate goals, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.Qualifications:Proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or related fields.Strong knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), scheduling software (e.g., Akwire, P6), and maintenance management processes.Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and within a team.Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.Why Join Us?
