How will you have an impact in this role?We are seeking a motivated individual to be part of the Landus team who will be responsible for our outside agronomy and grain operations. What would you do?Greet all customers promptly and courteouslyMaintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers, as applicable.Assist in all aspects of the elevator operations, if applicable to locationReceiving and unloading grain operationsGrain drying operationsMeasuring grain inventory on a weekly/monthly basisGrain train loading operations including cleaning and sealing carsKeeping facility clean, safe and housekeeping records currentMaintain grain condition by testing temperatures and blendingAble to operate train locomotive & obtain training certificate on locomotive operations, if applicable to the locationIdentify potential maintenance problems and complete necessary repairsAssist in all aspects of the fertilizer and chemical operations, if applicable to locationMeasure inventory and report it to the supervisorAssist in unloading bulk and packaged productProvide customer service by and loading chemical product ordersMaintain and repair equipment as neededKeeping facility clean, safe and housekeeping records currentPumping bulk chemicals into customer tanksTender to applicatorsFill NH3 nurse tanks during seasonUnderstand basic agronomy chemistry of all productsRequirements:The ideal candidate will have:Must have a valid drivers license and/or have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements.Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and the in-season time commitment.Other skills that will help you succeed:Be able to obtain a Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements.Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program and maintain current DOT physical.Two to five years related experience.Good computer skills.COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS:At Landus, we're dedicated to your well-being and success.
