MACHINE OPERATOR:THE OPPORTUNITY: Under the direction of the Screenprint Supervisor and Trainer, this position is responsible for processing screenprint orders through preparing garments, applying inks through use of screenprint press, and making quality adjustments as necessary. This position will lead the Unloader and provide first steps in quality control. The operator is responsible for changing screens and setting up/cleaning ink for specific orders, and operating the screenprint press to produce the best t-shirts in the biz. The operator will help verify garment quality and ink design to achieve company standards, and will wow our customers by meeting department and company goals.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________A Typical Day (job functions) | Operate + Unload + Analyze + Verify + RepeatAnalyze orders to confirm design, ink colors and placementSet up and operate screenprint machine; adjusting rotation, speed, pressure, and registration to achieve desired print qualityChange/clean screens and ink for specific ordersUnload shirts from platenVerify quality of clothing and ink design Change screens and ink for specific ordersFollow company standards and work to achieve department goalsFollows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standardsWorks actively with others to get the job doneOther duties as assigned____________________________________________________________________________________________________________Skills (qualifications) | Self-Motivated + Detail-Oriented + TEAM Player High school education desirable, but not requiredTablet or computer experience preferredAbility to work well in a teamDetail oriented and self-motivated Must be reliable, responsible and take direction wellMust be able to perform repetitive tasks for several hoursAbility to be stand for 8-10 hours a dayPrevious production experience preferred, but not required____________________________________________________________________________________________________________EMBROIDERY MACHINE OPERATOR:THE OPPORTUNITY: Under the direction of the Embroidery Lead, this position is responsible for processing embroidery orders by preparing garments, running an embroidery and laser machine, and making quality adjustments as necessary. They will also be picking inventory for orders as well as performing quality control on each garment, to include: folding, labeling, boxing and counting garments, as well as recording styles and quantities of garments produced.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________A Typical Day (job functions) | Analyze + Operate + Quality Control + RepeatAnalyze orders to identify design and determine thread colorsChange embroidery machine threads, including threading needlesAttach hoops to the garmentsAccess order specifications through computer spreadsheetsNavigate through computer programs to process garment order on embroidery and/or laser machineOperate embroidery machine computer and laser machineVerify quality and quantity of the clothing and embroideryMaintain Zephyr & Lakeshirts acceptable standard of quality per garment Communicate with, or walk to, inventory area to gather replacement garments as needed Keep work area clean and orderlyOrganize work flowFollow safety practices.
