The perfect candidate should have prior experience working with family law. We are offering a competitive compensation package that ranges from $40,000 to $57,000.As part of our compensation, we offer health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid days off, vacation, 401(k) matching, as well as a structured bonus.Compensation:$40,000 - $57,000 yearlyResponsibilities:Communicate with clients, experts, opposing attorneys, and court staffConduct discovery meetings with clients and draft responses to interrogatories and requests for admission, and gather documentation for requests for productionManage and monitor case progress, deadlines, and important timeframes/milestonesReview, analyze, and summarize the evidenceDraft documents such as letters, petitions, answers to petitions, financial statements, motions, responses to motions, discovery requests and responses, orders, notices, mediation statements, indexes, and other various documents neededPrepare child support, spousal support, and equitable distribution calculations with assistance from attorneysHelp identify inconsistencies in financial and other documents provided to us by opposing counselHelp attorneys prepare cases for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trialsCoordinate witness testimony and draft subpoenasResearch laws and judicial decisions about current as well as past casesAssist attorneys with proofreading and finalizing documents for filingAssist lawyers in the courtroomMaintain records and information in our digital case management systemEnter billable and non-billable times in the case management system on a daily basisQualifications:You smile when you answer the phoneYou see a possibility for an organization where other people see a messYou are persistentYou are compassionate and want to make a differenceYou are a go-getter.You are able to think outside of the box and have great problem-solving skillsYou are a team player and will never say, Thats not my job!You adapt to change and embrace growthYou conquer case management systems and the Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to calendars, e-mail, word processing, and the InternetYou are an extraordinary juggler of tasks and can change gears quicklyYou are responsible and accountable, and you take pride in your workYou can deal with a boss who is always busy, might not give much direction, might get distracted by new exciting things, and hates dealing with admin tasksYou take ownership of your mistakes.
